Executive Director – Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce / Madera County Mountain Main Streets

The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) and Madera County Mountain Main Streets seek a dynamic, community-minded Executive Director to lead programs that strengthen local businesses, enhance economic vitality, and promote the unique character of the mountain communities.

Position Overview
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer, responsible for implementing the mission, goals, and strategic initiatives of the Chamber/Main Street program. This position requires leadership in business development, community engagement, marketing, and organizational management, following the best practices and recommendations of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Main Street America.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations, budgeting, and financial management of the Chamber and Main Street programs.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, government agencies, and community organizations.

Coordinate events, programs, and initiatives that promote economic growth and community engagement.

Implement strategies aligned with Main Street America’s Four-Point Approach: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.

Manage staff, volunteers, and committees to achieve organizational goals.

Represent the Chamber and Main Street programs at public meetings, community events, and regional collaborations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public administration, or related field; comparable experience.

Proven leadership and management experience.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of economic development, tourism, and small business support preferred.

Social Media management experience.

Proficient is use of Office Management systems

Compensation
