Abraham Lincoln, Spinner of Yarns: A Storytelling Event
Saturday, February 15, 2025 (1:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (PST)
Description
Abraham Lincoln - Spinner of Yarns
A storytelling event inspired by the president’s life and his reputation as a storyteller.
Featuring stories and poems by Jon Bock, Jim Kocher, James Taylor, Jennifer Moss, Alex Reeve, Rachel Ensley and more!
Abraham Lincoln was a great leader and communicator. He learned to tell stories from his father, who shared stories with his family by the fireplace on cold winter nights. Lincoln understood the power of storytelling to influence how people think and feel. He was able to read a contentious situation and to pick the right story to bring people together. His reputation as a storyteller was widely known, and many of his stories and anecdotes have been documented for us to enjoy today.
The performance is based on history, but is meant to be fun, with a contemporary spin. Listeners should expect the unexpected. If you are ready to be delighted by a yarn or tickled by a tale come join us!
$20 admission, $10 for students and/or age 18 or younger. Tickets available HERE.
Two performances Saturday February 15th, 2025, 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm
